Well, Halloween was a big success! Olivia went trick or treating at Grandma Belter's and at the mall with her buddy Nathaniel. I was a little sad that we wouldn't be putting the monkey costume on again, but then Grandma Belter called and asked if we could send it over to her house. When I asked her why so stated that "Grandma Dorris" (the sweet lady who lives next door to my mom) was sad that Olivia didn't make it over to her house to go trick or treating. Apparently, she had something special to give her.
Everything is going pretty well at the Bree household. Dan recently got a promotion at work. He loves his new position, but the hours are taking a little getting use to (he is working Mon-Thurs 10am-8pm). The good news is that this will only be for a few months and then he will be back to working Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm.
Despite the illnesses going around everywhere I am maintaining my health. Knock on wood. Dan and I finished doing our Christmas shopping for Olivia and a couple of other people on Friday night. The people who know me well will understand how excited that makes me.
Peanut is doing well. The Prozac really helps to chill her out! I took a picture of her in her Halloween costume at 6:15am the other day. Needless to say, she was not thrilled with me.
Olivia is great. She is really showing her "Little Miss Independent" side of herself lately. Mommy and Daddy are adjusting to this :) She did have her first set of x-rays on Friday. She got her fingers caught in Grandma's sliding van door. The door didn't get shut all the way on them, but it was enough that her doctor recommended taking her to the emergency room for x-rays. Daddy got to enjoy most of this fun since he was off on Friday with her. I met them at the hospital just as they were finishing up. She had no broken bones or fractures, just a Contusion (which is my understanding that this just means a big bruise). She has been milking the injury only for the extra kisses on her boo-boo. Otherwise you wouldn't even notice that anything was wrong with her.
Oh, by the way, isn't the picture of Aunt Katie and Olivia reading stories super sweet.

All of the pictures are super sweet. Are peanuts eyes like the brightest blue ever?? Olivia was a darling little monkey. I love that the monkey theme is carrying on. So cute. We'll have to try the mall for trick-or-treating next year...great idea. I didn't realize they did it there. Was it crowded?? Was it on Halloween?
Also I loved reading all of the updates. A big congrats to Dan on the promotion! That's really exciting. And I'm glad Olivia is ok after her accident..how scary. Getting fingers stuck in car doors is the worst kind of pain. Poor thing! And I can't believe your Christmas shopping is almost done! Wow..that's amazing. We have a few gifts for Henry and I felt pretty on top of things...but to be done before Thanksgiving..that's great!! Glad you're all doing well. I miss you!
