INDY WAS A BIG HIT

This past weekend we had a little vacation to Indianapolis to see the Children's Museum and the Zoo. We went with Grandma and Grandpa Bree. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. So much, that I only came back with 105 pictures :) I promise that I didn't post them all, but I did post quite a few. It was so hard to narrow them done. We highly advise anyone who is tired off trips to Chicago and St. Louis to give it a try. It was only 3 hours from our house.

Let's go!

She picked flowers for me and Grandma before we left the house.

Olivia liked all of the hands-on components of the Dinosaur exhibit
Olivia covered her ears during the first part of the Dinosaur exhibit because the realistic sky was storming.
Walking towards the Dinosaur exhibit with Grandma and Grandpa.
Resting comfortably on the fantastic travel bed Grandma and Grandpa bought me.
A little lunch prior to exploring the museum.

This is a blown glass display at the Children's Museum. It is beyond impressive!! It took me 3 shots to get it all in. I've never seen anything quite like it!

Let's all make a face like the polar bear.
Our little girl, who doesn't think eating is a life necessity, devoured breakfast the day after the museum. We were so impressed that we just had to get a photo.

Groovin' in the disco area.
This was a three bears display. There is actually a plexiglass wall in between Olivia and the bears. The first time we walked into the room, she walked smack dab into the plexiglass. Silly girl.
She was so excited to ride this carousel. First of all, when you looked up it looked like the night sky because of the stars. Second, she got to choose the tiger. Yes, I know it is a lion, but despite our efforts, she is convinced this is a tiger.
Grandma and Olivia were spying a baby bunny that was behind the plexiglass piece. Not to worry, it wasn't real.
Grandpa Belter would be really proud of this photo.

I thought this image turned out really neat.
Olivia loved looking at the sharks. We got an opportunity to touch them, but she left that fun to the grown-ups.
This exhibit at the museum was really cool. Children could try on various diving equipment, look into a screen and it would look as if they were deep sea diving. Olivia was amazed.
Grandpa and Olivia making their very own glass sculpture. Good thing that their "glass" was made out of plastic!
Dan and Olivia being silly in a tree house at the Children's Museum.

Olivia's first pony ride.
Here is Dan feeding a Lorakeet bird. They were so calm and gentle. I almost wanted to take one home.......I said ALMOST :)
Olivia was able to help feed a giraffe named Levi. He came really close to us.
See!! We were almost nose to nose with our new friend!
This is Martin, the new baby cow at the petting zoo. Olivia was beside herself until we found this blessed cow.

This trip looks like SO MUCH FUN! We haven't taken the boys to Indy yet. That museum looks incredible. I love the blown glass. It's so pretty! I'm glad you all had such a fun weekend. It looks like a big success. We'll have to take our boys there soon!
